AI assistants

Run your website from the AI you already use.

Connect ChatGPT, Claude or your code editor to Contentio once. Then ask how the site is doing, have it write a page or a post in two languages with its SEO texts, add alt text to your images or fix a broken link. Drafts stay drafts: nothing visitors see changes until you say yes.

Server address https://contentio.talivio.com/mcp

Included in every plan and in the free trial. The site owner connects it.

What your assistant can do

Read

  • Pages, posts and events in every language, with their SEO titles and descriptions
  • Menus, media library, categories and tags, custom collections
  • Visits per day, top pages, referrers and devices
  • Broken links, site status, domain and backup state
  • What needs your attention across all your sites

Read and draft

  • Write pages and posts as drafts, with a preview link
  • Translate them and write SEO titles and descriptions
  • Add images from a link and write their alt text
  • Create categories and tags

Read, edit and publish

  • Publish now or at a set time, or take something offline
  • Edit live pages, menus, form fields and redirects
  • Move to the trash and bring back, restore an earlier version
  • Each of these only after you say yes in the chat

Try asking

  • “How many people visited the site last month, and which pages did they read most?”
  • “Write a page about our family therapy service in Turkish and English, with SEO texts. Keep it a draft.”
  • “Which images have no alt text? Write one for each.”
  • “The site has broken links. Show me where, and fix the ones you can.”
  • “Publish the seminar announcement on Monday at 9:00.”

You stay in control

  • When you connect, you choose one site or all your sites, and one of three access levels; read is the default.
  • The assistant works as you: your role decides what it can see and do.
  • Publishing, editing what is live, menus, forms, redirects and the trash need your explicit yes in the chat.
  • Personal data — form submissions, applications — stays hidden unless you tick it when connecting.
  • Every change is in the audit log, and every edit keeps the previous version.
  • Domains, billing, members and deleting for good stay in the panel. Disconnect any time under API & AI assistants.

Set it up

Each assistant below signs in with your Contentio account (OAuth): add the server address, sign in, choose which site and how much it may do. Menu names change between app versions; if a step looks different, look for “Connectors”, “MCP” or “custom server”.

Web and desktop app

ChatGPT

  1. Open Plugins and choose + → Add custom MCP server.
  2. Name it Contentio and paste the server address.
  3. Choose OAuth as authentication, confirm the warning and create it.
  4. Install the plugin, sign in to Contentio and choose the site and access.
  5. In a new chat type @Contentio and ask. ChatGPT asks you before a tool that writes runs.

Available on paid ChatGPT plans; in Business and Enterprise an admin may need to allow custom servers.

claude.ai and the desktop app

Claude

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Contentio and paste the server address.
  3. Choose Connect, sign in to Contentio and choose the site and access.
  4. In a chat, open the tools menu and make sure Contentio is on.

On Team and Enterprise plans an owner may need to add the connector for the organisation first.

    }

With a key instead of a sign-in

Any other client

  1. In the panel open API & AI assistants and create an AI key: read; read and draft; or read, edit and publish.
  2. Send it as a header with the server address. For example in Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http contentio https://contentio.talivio.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer ctk_…"

A key acts as the owner who made it. Keep it secret and revoke it on the same screen.

Or just ask your AI assistant.
